Please take notice that the Board of Trustees of the City of Marathon Fire Retirement Trust Fund will conduct a virtual meeting of the Board of Trustees on September 10, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be conducted exclusively using electronic communications media technology.
Notice is hereby given that due to the state of emergency created by COVID-19, the Pension Board will not be meeting in person; rather, the meeting will utilize communication media technology. Pursuant to Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order Number 20-69 issued on March 20, 2020, which was extended by Executive Order Number 20-193, "Local government bodies may utilize communications media technology, such as telephonic and video conferencing, as provided in Section 120.54(5)(b)2. Florida Statues." Video conference and phone programs are available for the public per the instructions below.
Videoconference – the meeting will be hosted online using Microsoft Teams. The public may join by videoconference https://teams.microsoft.com. You can join a Teams meeting anytime, from any device, whether or not you have a Teams account. If you don't have an account, follow these steps to join as a guest. You will see two choices: Download the Windows app and Join on the web instead. If you join on the web, you can use either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. Your browser may ask if it's okay for Teams to use your mic and camera. Be sure to allow it so you'll be seen and heard in your meeting. Enter your name and choose your audio and video settings. If the meeting room (or another device that's connected to the meeting) is nearby, choose Audio off to avoid disrupting. Select Phone audio if you want to listen to the meeting on your mobile phone. When you're ready, hit Join now. This will bring you into the meeting lobby. We'll notify the meeting organizer that you're there, and someone in the meeting can then admit you.
