ADVISORY: Precautionary Boil Water Notice (PBWN)- Marathon
At approximately 10:00PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the FKAA experienced a momentary drop in pressure associated with changing water flow directions at the Marathon Transmission Booster Pump Station. It is estimated the transmission main pressure reached 18 psi for a few seconds, while the subsequent water storage tanks and distribution pump stations continued to supply adequate pressure to a majority of customers in Marathon.
However, in an abundance of caution, we are issuing a Precautionary Boil Water Notice (PBWN) to the areas illustrated below. This includes the south side of Marathon between 91st Street and Vaca Cut Bridge, and the north side from 6800 Overseas Highway to Vaca Cut Bridge.
