NEW COVID-19 GUIDELINES

City Senior Staff and Mayor Gonzalez met this morning to discuss the upswing in COVID-19 cases throughout Florida and the nation. No mandates with the City of Marathon at this time, however the City will implement the following guidelines:
1. Meetings with City Staff & the public will be by appointment and held in the Council Chambers. Attendees meeting with staff will be asked to wear a mask and City Staff are asked to do the same.
2. Social distancing in public meeting room spaces will continue temperature checks will start again & the public will be required to wear a mask at public meetings in the Council Chambers.
3. Hand sanitizer stations will remain available throughout City Hall and other locations in City buildings.
4. Frequent hand washing is encouraged
5. The City suggests those not vaccinated, get vaccinated.
