NOTICE OF SPECIAL CALL PUBLIC MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Marathon will hold a Public Meeting on August 16th at 11:30 am in the Marathon City Hall Council Chambers, 9805 Overseas Highway, Marathon, Florida.  The purpose of the Special Call Meeting is to potentially give direction to staff regarding the appeal from the State of Florida of the 300 units (Cecilla Mattino, et al, Appellants vs. City of Marathon Florida et al Appellees  No. 3D20-1921 Lower Tribunal No 20-032). Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at any the meeting or workshop noted herein, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purposes he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made; which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. The City of Marathon complies with the provisions of the Americans With Disabilities Act.  Individuals with disabilities requiring special accommodations or assistance, should call the City Attorney at City Hall (305) 743-0033 of such need at least 72 hours (3 days) in advance.

All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting.  Please note that more than one Marathon City Council/Board/Committee member may participate in the meeting.
