Summary: To ensure the efficient operation, organization and smooth functioning of the Summer Camp Program, in coordination with the Camp Director. The Summer Camp Program runs from June 8, 2025 through August 1, 2025.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, lead and implement a variety of safe, fun activities and special events. Responsible for the safety and supervision of program participants. Work as a team member with fellow staff. Attend and take part in all staff training and weekly meetings. Complete necessary forms and logs accurately. Supervise assigned campers.  Submit weekly supply needs. Assists and participates in the planning, organization, and supervision of specialized recreational and athletic programs.

Follow the Marathon Parks and Recreation Department’s Policies and Procedures as documented for summer camps.  Perform other duties as required.
Salary:  $13.00-$20.00 per hour DOQ.

Education and/or Experience:

For adult applicants: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year of college education desirable. One year experience working with and supervising youth in an educational or recreational setting (for youth programs);  one year of training and/or experience with the adult recreation or education programs.   Possession of or ability to obtain a valid State of Florida drivers license. First Aid and CPR certifications a plus.

Miscellaneous: 

Successful applicants must undergo a drug test, driver’s license, fingerprinting and background check.
