Free Voluntary Prekindergarten

The Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe has partnered with local Monroe County civic and community leaders to bring attention to the free Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program that is available to all four year old children in the county.  This is being done with the goal of getting 100% of the four year olds enrolled in a participating program.

Children who participate in VPK have higher “ready to learn” rates when they enter kindergarten, then do children who do not participate in VPK.  This the reason it is imperative that we get all of the children enrolled.
